Goals, Guidelines and Areas of Interest

The original intent of the Lachman Foundation was to provide funds to organizations which :

• Further the causes of Deaf Education, especially Literacy,
• Technology for people who are deaf,
• Develop other technologies,
• Especially organizations which support technology education in computers or energy,
• Support Jewish Education.

The Ronald and Mary Ann Lachman Foundation attempts to follow the original goals and guidelines for which the Foundation was established. While we will be happy to reply to email, the Ronald and Mary Ann Lachman Foundation seldom funds unsolicited donation requests. We attempt to proactively search out organizations that work to achieve our goals for making the world a better place. Most often we attempt to support donees with not only our funds, but also with our active participation. The foundation only funds qualified 501(c)3 organizations. Funds can not be granted to individuals.

One test used in selecting not only the donee, but also the project and the level of giving is, will this grant have an effect on meeting our goals in one hundred years? Will it make a difference?
